the Rumson Police Department will participate in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The aim of the day is “to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.”
People may discard unused or old prescription medication for safe disposal by police at the Rumson Police Department, 80 East River Road, Rumson.

The annual Rumson Halloween Parade from 3 to 5 p.m. starting at Rogers Park. The festivities begin with a parade line-up at 3:15 p.m. and judging and trick-or-treating locations.
Then the parade makes its way to Victory Park where there will be themed activities, hot dogs and soft drinks.
