Prosecutor: Red Bank Shooting Leaves One Injured; Authorities Investigating

Authorities are investigating the circumstances behind an overnight shooting in Red Bank that left one injured, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Saturday.

At approximately 1:48 a.m., Red Bank police responded to St. Mary’s Place, off Shrewsbury Avenue, on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found three shell casings.

A short time later, authorities were notified that an adult male, 34, of Long Branch, had been admitted to a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the upper leg.

The investigation involving members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Red Bank Police Department remains ongoing at this time.
