Following an investigation, an arrest has been made in connection with the discovery last week of a dead body in a parked car in Atlantic Highlands, authorities at the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said on Tuesday.
A 28-year-old from Middlesex County, Jordan J. Vilcatoma-Correjo, of Edison, has been charged with second-degree desecration of human remains in connection with the incident.
Vilcatoma-Correjo is being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold Township. He has been held there since Saturday, when he was arrested on the charge.
