Prosecutor: Area Man Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Dealing and Gun Possession

An area man has pleaded guilty to drug dealing and firearm possession, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Wednesday.

On Monday, Jan. 8, 42-year-old Davidson Jules pleaded guilty to possession of more than five ounces of cocaine with the intent to distribute (dealing) and unlawful possession of a handgun before the Honorable Christie Bevacqua, J.S.C. As a result of his plea, Jules faces 12 years in a New Jersey state prison and must serve at least 42 months before he is eligible for parole.

The guilty plea stems from a cooperative investigation involving detectives from the Keansburg Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Bayshore Task Force in the spring of 2023.

The investigation culminated when members of the Keansburg, Tinton Falls, Union Beach and Holmdel police departments and the Bayshore Task Force executed search warrants on Jules’ Willis Place Keansburg home and storage unit in Tinton Falls on May 1, 2023. During the search, police recovered more than five ounces of cocaine, more than half an ounce of heroin, methamphetamines, a firearm, and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics.
