An area man was arrested in a drug dealing bust after a joint investigation by Middletown and Keansburg police resulted in the search of his home and seizure of a mass quantity of drugs.

Timothy Smith, 41, of Harbor Way in Middletown, was arrested after a search warrant was executed and police seized cocaine, heroin and Xanax on Friday, police reported. Police did not say exactly how much of each of the drugs was seized.

The search warrant, however, was obtained on the basis of evidence that there was distribution (sale/dealing) of the narcotics from the home.

Smith was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold with bail set at $45,000.

As of Friday, Smith remained incarcerated.
