The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Blue Mercury, Broad Street, on July 4. The victim reported that someone stole merchandise valued at $2,230.

• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Marshalls, Broad Street on July 6. The victim reported that $336.98 worth of merchandise was stolen.
Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.
• There was a report of harassment in the area of Sycamore Avenue on July 9. The victim reported receiving harassing text messages from a known person.
Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.
Arrests
• Andara Bayardo, 50, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on July 14 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.
• Giuseppe Benvenuti, 52, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 9 in the area of Broad Street and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
• Alfred J. Kowalski, 35, of Colonia, was arrested on July 7 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
• Paul W. Stevenson, 31, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 7 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
Contempt of Court
• Samuel F. Perry, 36, of Long Branch, was arrested on July 4 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Matthew Clark.
• Rick C. Wild, 18, of Belmar, was arrested on July 4 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Angel Marrero.
• Amber Morris, 27, of Neptune, was arrested on July 5 in the area of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.
• Michele Fuertez, 33, of West Keansburg, was arrested on July 5 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
• Andrea R. Gardner, 59, of Long Branch, was arrested on July 10 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
• Robert Pugliese, 29, of Middletown, was arrested on July 12 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola.
