Police Report: DWI, Credit Card Fraud, Disorderly & More

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of property damage made at police headquarters by a male on March 3. The victim reported that his vehicle was allegedly damaged while he was driving on Broad Street.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro took the report.

• There was a report made by a female of a disorderly person in the area of Broad Street on March 3. The reporting party allegedly witnessed a male subject throw a piece of furniture at another party in the area.

Patrolman Ralph Latham investigated.

• There was a report of a suspicious person/credit card fraud made by a male in the area of Shrewsbury Plaza on March 4. The reporting party alleged that a male subject used a stolen credit card to make a fraudulent purchase.

Sgt. T. Polk is investigating.

• There was a report of a disorderly person made by a male in the area of Sycamore Avenue on March 4. An associate of the reporting party was allegedly having an issue with his sister.

• There was a report of credit card fraud made by a male in the area of Silverbrook Road who alleged on March 5 that he was the victim of fraudulent credit card transactions.

Arrests

• Justin Guzman, 22, of Neptune, was arrested on March 5 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Sgt. T. Polk.

• Robert Sanford, 26, of Carteret, was arrested March 3 in the area of Broad Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

Contempt of Court

• Shalonda Robinson, 44, of Ocean Grove, was arrested March 1 at police headquarters on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Matthew Clark.

• Katherine Vegaestrada, 23, of Paterson, was arrested on March 3 at police headquarters on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola.

• Kenneth Persico, 49, of Keansburg, was arrested on March 4 at police headquarters on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Danile DeCristofaro.

• Ieisha White, 24, of Seaside Heights, was arrested on March 5 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Matthew Clark.
