Police Report: Burglary, Theft, Aggravated Assault, Weapons, Terroristic Threats, Defiant Trespass, DWIs

The following April criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• An incident of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle in the area of W. Bergen Place was reported on April 26. The vehicle’s owner reported damage, valued at $50, to the driver’s side mirror.

• The theft of a wallet, valued at $20, containing a driver’s license, social security card, $200 in cash, a work permit and a Home Depot credit card, from a vehicle in the area of S. Bridge Avenue was reported on April 24.

Patrolman Christian Nelson took the report.

• The theft of two Amazon packages, valued at $200, from the front of a Bank Street residence was reported on April 18.

Patrolman James McGee took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of English Plaza was reported on April 17. The owner of a vehicle reported that it was keyed.

Patrolman Lee Cahill took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief — graffiti — in the area of Broad Street was reported on April 15. Police observed a building tagged in blue and white paint.

Patrolman Preston Mellaci took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief involving a motor vehicle in the area of River Road was reported on April 15. The owner reported scratch marks scrolled down the passenger side of the vehicle and a damaged rear tail light.

Patrolman Gary Watson took the report.

• The theft of $50 in cash from a wallet in the area of Riverview Plaza was reported on April 14.

Patrolman Milton Gray took the report.

• The theft of a bicycle, valued at $60, from the area of Warf Avenue was reported on April 9.

Patrolman Christopher Fuentes took the report.

• The theft of $150 in cash from a vehicle in the area of Mechanic Street was reported on April 9.

Patrolman James McGee took the report.

• The theft of a red GT bicycle, valued at $900, from the area of Leighton Place was reported on April 7.

Patrolman Christian Nelson took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of W. Front Street was reported. An employee reported that a light post in front of the business was knocked over and broken.

Arrests

• Nihjer Hill, 29, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of E. Front Street on April 29 and charged with burglary and obstructing administration of law by Patrolman Christopher Fuentes.

• Janelle Hendrex, 30, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Water Street on April 28 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

• Enrique Mendez-Degante, 25, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Peters Place on April 27 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.

• Julio Madrigal, 43, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on April 26 and charged with possession of CDShindering apprehension, and contempt of court by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.

• Martin Geller, 63, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of N. Bridge Avenue on April 25 and charged with defiant trespass by Patrolman Tanner Shea.

• Almalike Faniel, 48, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on April 24 and charged with aggravated assault by Patrolman Nicholas Maletto.

• Robert Lowe, 70, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of E. Bergen Place on April 22 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and refusal by Patrolman Darren McConnell.

• Alex Garcia-Lopez, 21, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Tower Hill Avenue on April 22 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.

• Tim Jackson, 32, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on April 20 and charged with burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Taylor Doremus.

• Alexander Ratych, 32, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on April 18 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Frank Metta.

• Neal Simpson, 53, of Little Silver, was arrested in the area of N. Bridge Avenue on April 17 and charged with hindering apprehension, resisting arrest and contempt of court by Patrolman James McGee.

• Dante Delaney, 30, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Chapin Avenue on April 16 and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

• Mathew Caracappa, 30, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on April 16 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Carmine Pannullo.

• Bryan Bueno-Delarosa, 18, was arrested on in the area of Wallace Street on April 13 and charged with simple assault and underage DWI by Patrolman Tanner Shea.

• Almalike Faniel, 48, of Roselle, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on April 12 and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Froilan Hernandez.

• Benjamin Garcia, 21, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of River Street on April 6 and charged with terroristic threatsaggravated assault of a police officerpossession of weapon with unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of weapons by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.

• Thomas Whalers, 62, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of N. Bridge Avenue on April 6 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Taylor Doremus.

• Lucio Quintana-Quintana, 50, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Catherine Street on April 5 and charged with obstructing administration of lawresisting arrest, and driving while suspended by Patrolman Christopher Fuentes.

• John Oakley, 64, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on April 3 and charged with theft by Patrolman Darren McConnell.
