The following recent arrests were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
• Brandon Soto, 18, of Thompson Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Oct. 30 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with receiving stolen property.
He was released pending a court date.
• John Scalzo, 20, of Davis Lane in Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 31 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released pending a court appearance.
• William McManus, 49, of Park Avenue in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 1 by Patrolman Michael Heaton and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
He was released pending a court date.
• Crystal Sharkey, 27, of Bayview Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Nov. 1 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
She was released pending a court date.
• Pamela Caravella, 27, of Pinehurst Drive in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 1 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
She was released pending a court date.
• Armando Ramirez-Largo, 26, of Hudson Avenue in Red Bank, was arrested on Nov. 1 by Patrolman Frank Mazza and charged with possession of cocaine, open alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to observe traffic control device, tinted windows, possession of controlled dangerous substance, purchase of alcohol for use by underage person, possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released after posting $10,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.
• Sharyn Grzeszczak, 46, of Swimming River Road in the Lincroft section of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 1 by Patrolman Jason Andrews and charged with simple assault.
She was released pending a court date.
• Cesar Hernandez, 19, of West Sunset Avenue in Red Bank, was arrested on Nov. 1 by Patrolman Frank Mazza and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of alcohol by minors, providing false information to a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing the administration of law.
He was released after posting $7,500 with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.
• Andrew Pesile, 25, of Roop Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 1 by Cpl. Bernie Chenoweth and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI), reckless driving, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, failure to report a motor vehicle accident.
He was released pending a court date.

He was released pending a court date.
• Steven Hewitt, 25, of Kanes Lane in Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 4 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with burglary, employing a juvenile to commit a crime, possession of heroin, conspiracy to commit a burglary, criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was held on $32,500 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.
• Adam Stranges, 24, of Seabreeze Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 5 by Cpl. Bernie Chenoweth and charged with shoplifting and obstructing administration of law.
He was held on $5,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.
• Julee Apfel, 37, of Harmony Road in Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 5 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.
She was held on $77,500 bail, set by Judge James Berube.
• Thomas Fell, 63, of Main Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 6 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was held on $500 bail.
• Alycia Carifffe, 26, of Main Street in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 9 by Patrolman Frank Mazza and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
She was released pending a court date.
• Riley Costigan, 39, of Cherry Tree Farm Road in Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 9 by Patrolman Thomas Foster and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
He was released pending a court date.
• On Nov. 1, Patrolman Frank Mazza arrested two 17-year-old male juveniles from Red Bank and charged them with possession of cocaine, underage possession of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were released pending a court date.
• On Nov. 3, Detective Keith Hirschbein arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, and charged him with receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
He was released pending a court date.
• On Nov. 4, Patrolman Raymond Sofield arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile, of the Belford section of Middletown, and charged him with burglary, criminal mischief, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, conspiracy and possession of heroin.
He was released pending a court date.
• On Nov. 4, Patrolman Raymond Sofield arrested a 16-year-old female juvenile from Middletown and charged her with burglary, criminal mischief, possession of heroin, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and conspiracy.
She was released pending a court date.
• On Nov. 4, Patrolman Adam Colfer arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile from Highlands and charged him with burglary, criminal mischief, possession of heroin, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe and conspiracy.
He was released pending a court date.
• John Underwood, 50, from Lind Drive in Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 9 by Patrolman Daniel Benbrook and charged with stalking and violation of a court order.
He was held on $70,000 bail, set by Judge James Berube.
• Thomas Hardie, 33, of Hosford Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 10 by Patrolman Thomas Hughes and charged with false reports to law enforcement and obstructing the administration of law.
He was released after posting $10,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.
