In Memoriam: Red Bank Native Teresa Vaiti Beneducci, 91

Red Bank native Teresa Vaiti Beneducci passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, with family by her side. She was 91.

The daughter of Salvatore and Luisa Vaiti, of the iconic Sal’s Tavern Restaurant in Red Bank, she was born on Feb. 25. 1932 “into a fun-loving family (of four other children) in Red Bank and “was a shining light to us all.”

“After graduating from Red Catholic High School, Aunt Teresa moved to NYC to work for JPMorgan as an executive assistant. She was a woman ahead of her time. One of Aunt Teresa’s greatest joys was traveling to Europe. While on one of her ski trips there, she met future husband Giovani Beneducci. They got married and settled in Milan, Italy where she continued her career with JP Morgan, a company she retired with in 1999. After Giovanni passed away in 1982, Aunt Teresa returned to live in Red Bank. Some of Aunt Teresa’s favorite things were chocolate, Tiramisu, and Frank Reagan (Blue Bloods). Teresa’s family feels incredibly fortunate to love and be loved by her. Words alone cannot fully convey the devotion we felt by her presence, love and support. How her green eyes would sparkle with every smile and laugh. She understood and appreciated the finer things in life and what really mattered – family, friendships and living authentically.”
