Former longtime Little Silver resident and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High (RFH) School Class of 1952 graduate Phyllis Ann Darragh passed away on Feb. 10 at her son’s home in Windham, NH. She was 87.
Born at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, to the late William and Ann (Olsen) Myatt, after graduating from RFH in 1952, Phyllis worked as a Group Manager for New Jersey Bell/AT&T and Verizon for roughly 30 years. She took 10 years off to be a full time mom and raise her son.
She was predeceased by: her beloved husband, George Allan Darragh, in 2016; her brother, William Myatt; and sister, Amy Myatt Ayers.
She is survived by: her younger brother, Richard; loving son, Scott and his wife Pilar; her cherished grandchildren, Christian and Camila; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, on Friday, Feb. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Phyllis’ memory to the Little Silver Volunteer Fire Department.
