In Memoriam: Little Silver-Raised RBR Grad, Patty Lipert, 64

Patricia “Patty” Alison Lipert was a beautiful, compassionate, hilarious, wise, hard-working and fun-loving woman who was truly dedicated to her family and loved going to the beach, crabbing, gardening, live music, University of Michigan football and was politically active. ~ Patty Lipert’s family

Little Silver-raised Red Bank Regional High School graduate, Patty Lipert passed away with her family by her side on May 24 after a valiant battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She was 64.

“She was born in Red Bank to the late Charles and Muriel White and grew up in Little Silver. She graduated from Red Bank Regional High School, took courses in computer science at Southern Illinois University and went on to work at AT&T as a technical writer. After several years, she left to become a full-time mom and then switched careers to real estate. As a realtor, she helped many people find apartments and homes, taking a personal interest in them and cultivating real, lasting friendships for over a decade.”

Patty is survived by: her husband of 40 years, Alex Lipert; her sister, Barbara Ewald (Jeff); her brother, Ed White (Cathy); her sons Kevin and Dan and daughter-in-law, Laura; her granddaughter, Lilith; her nephews Ken, Matt and Joel; and her niece, Sarah.

Visiting hours are on Thursday, June 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A service will be held during the visiting hours at 8 p.m..
