Former longtime Red Bank resident, Muriel Murphy, more recently of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17. She was 92.
Muriel is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Arthur V. Murphy, and her daughter, Kathleen.
Muriel is survived by: her nine children, Michael Murphy, of Shrewsbury, Arthur V. Murphy III, of Red Bank, Thomas Murphy of Denver, CO, Timothy Murphy (Susan), of Shrewsbury, Sean Murphy (Nancy), of Red Bank, Mary P. Murphy, of Red Bank, Diane Davis (Jack), of Red Bank, Rosemary Murphy, of Mantoloking, and Meghan Gasek (Jim), of Hudson, MA; her 24 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23, at 10 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 94 Broad St, Red Bank.
