Fair Haven-raised Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Class of 1981 graduate Ken Bartos, more recently of Hammonton, passed away on July 27. He was 60.

“Born in Rutherford, Ken was raised in Fair Haven. After graduating from RFH, he worked in the IT Department for Merrill Lynch and was formerly a chef at the Rumson Country Club and at Lock, Stock and Barrel in Fair Haven. He enjoyed playing games on his computer and playing ball with his pit bull Sadie.”

Ken was predeceased by: his parents, Edward P. and Dorothy Bartos; his sister, Deborah Brudnicki; and his nephew, Jeff Brudnicki.

He is survived by: his companion, Jan Sparta, her daughter, Rachael Sparta and his granddaughter, Aryanna Sparta; his sister, Karen Gerber and her husband Greg; nieces, Jessica Gerber, Jennifer Gaughan and her husband Jason; his brother-in-law, James Brudnicki; his nephew, James Brudnicki Jr. and his wife Emily; and his great nephew, Jake Brudnicki.

Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
