Fair Haven Police Report Car Theft, Assault, DWI, Marijuana Possession

The following arrests and criminal incident reports were reported by Fair Haven police for the month of October. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Arrests

• Leobardo Martinez, 25, of Somerset, was arrested on Oct. 25 and charged with possession of marijuana by Patrolman Brooks Robinson following a motor vehicle stop.

Martinez was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• Melissa Neczesny, 53, of Fair Haven, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct on Oct. 16 after being involved in a physical altercation with another female outside of a local establishment. Patrolman Dwayne Reevey was the arresting officer.

She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

• Elizabeth Kaltenbach, 21, of Rumson, was arrested on Oct. 10 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Brooks Robinson following a motor vehicle stop.

She was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• Adrian Bagnato, 39, of Elizabeth, was arrested on Oct. 20 on an active traffic warrant out of Cranford. Ptl. Brooks Robinson took the report.

 

• Brian Cugini, 25, of Fair Haven, was arrested on Oct. 5 and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia by Patrolman Brooks Robinson following a motor vehicle stop.

He was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

Criminal Incidents

• A Maple Ave resident filed a missing person report on Oct. 19 with Patrolman William Lagrotteria to locate a family member. The missing was later located in good health.

• A Battin Road resident reported on Oct. 18 that someone had stolen a 2015 Audi A6 from his driveway sometime during the previous evening. Patrolman Christian Hostrup took the report. The car was recovered by police on Oct. 20 in Orange, NJ. Detective Stephen Schneider is investigating.

• A Hance Road resident filed a harassment report with Patrolman Brooks Robinson on Oct. 14 concerning several allegedly harassing Facebook messages.

• A McCarter Avenue resident filed a fraud report with Patrolman Brooks Robinson on Oct. 15 after receiving an allegedly  suspicious email.

 

 

• Three local businesses reported on Oct. 20 having received suspicious phone calls from an unknown person or persons representing themselves as a utility company seeking payment. Patrolman Brooks Robinson took the reports.

• An Oaklawn resident filed a report on Oct. 27 alleging threatening messages on Facebook. Ptl. Christian Hostrup took the report.

• Cpl. John Waltz took a vandalism report from borough employees on Oct. 1. A sign on borough property was found to be damaged.

• Cpl. John Waltz took a theft report on Oct. 2 of an unpaid July bill from  from Jon Lori Salon.
