Police Report Criminal Mischief, Theft

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police:

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred sometime between June 18 and 19 at a West Bergen Place residence. The victim reported that someone threw rocks at a parked vehicle and cracked the windshield and broke the rear driver’s side window.

• A theft was reported to have occurred sometime between June 19 and 20 at an apartment at 50 Locust Avenue. The victim reported that someone stole his iPhone and cash from the apartment.

Former Rumson Man Jailed on Sexual Assault, Child Endangerment Charges

A former Rumson resident is facing up to 15 years in prison on sexual assault and child endangerment charges after allegedly being caught in the act of committing the crimes against a 13-year-old boy, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced.

Albert DeCresci, 86, now of Tinton Falls,was arrested by Tinton Falls police on June 5 on the respective second- and third-degree criminal charges. He was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold, where he remains in lieu of $250,000 bail with no 10 percent option for release pending trial, a release from the Prosecutor’s Office said.

With a conviction, the second-degree sexual assault charge carries with it a 10-year sentence with no parole in a NJ state prison, it added. The third-degree child endangerment charge brings with it up to a five- year sentence.

If convicted, when he is released from prison, DeCresci will be registered as a sex offender, subject to the provisions of Megan’s Law and Community Supervision for Life, the release said.

The bail and its conditions were set by Judge Honora O’Brien Kilgallen, J.S.C., who also ordered that should DeCresci make full bail, he is to have no contact with the alleged victim.

Police: Local Woman Arrested on Theft by Deception Charges; $40K Bail

The following recent arrests were made by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

•Maximillian Paredes,18, of Third Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on May 31 by Police Officer Stephanie Geisel and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• Matthew Callori, 24, of Hilda Court in Red Bank, was arrested on May 30 by Cpl. Mark Ward and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and criminal mischief.

He was held on $8,000 bail.

• Debra Debenedetto, 43, of Wedgewood Circle in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on May 30 by Police Officer Stephanie Geisel and charged with simple assault.

She was released pending a court date.

• Gary Spann, 52, of Linden Avenue in Red Bank, was arrested on May 30 by Patrolman Brady Carr and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• A theft was reported to have occurred on Maple Avenue on May 27. The victim reported that someone stole his wallet, containing cash and credit cards, from a gym locker.

• A theft was reported to have occurred on May 27 on Harding Road. The victim reported that someone stole an iPhone, gold earrings, an HP Tablet and a Garmin GPS unit from a parked car.

Area 71-Year-Old Man Jailed on Fugitive, Contempt Warrants; $50K Bail

The following recent contempt of court and fugitive warrant arrests were reported by Middletown police:

• Gabriel Ramos, 71, of Pine Creek Road in Hazlet, was arrested on May 22 by Patrolman John Mele on a fugitive warrant for arson issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Hazlet Municipal Court.

He was held on $50,500 bail.

• Robert Dunn, 24, of Tenth Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on May 23 by Patrolman Patrick Leonard on contempt of court warrants issued by the Middletown, Atlantic Highlands and Asbury Park municipal courts.

He was held on $5,523 bail.

Police: Two Arrests Involving Heroin Possession, $15K Bail

The following recent arrests were reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction. 

• Obinna Okafor, 38, of North 9th Street in Newark, was arrested on May 22 and charged with theft by Detective Keith Hirschbein.

He was released pending a court date.

• Kirsten Miller, 20, of Concord Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on May 19 and charged with shoplifting from the Foodtown store by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis.

She was released pending a court date.

• Bryan McKee, 25, of Pedee Place in Middletown, was arrested on May 22 by Patrolman Jesse Toma and charged with obstructing the administration of law.

He was released pending a court date.

• Jake Fritzler, 23, of North Monticello Avenue in Chicago, IL, was arrested on May 22 by Sergeant Donald Coates and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• Myron Dismuke, 44, of Long Branch, was arrested on May 25 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with harassment by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Caesar Hernandez, 18, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 25 in the area of Evergreen Terrace and charged with defiant trespass, possession of a CDS (marijuana, under 50 grams, and unlawful possession of a weapon by Patrolman Benjamin Springer.

• Armando Cruz, 27, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 24 in the area of Bank Street and charged with resisting arrest by force by Patrolman Benjamin Springer.

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police: 

• A strong arm robbery was reported to have occurred on May 25 on Leonard Street. The victim reported that a male approached him outside of his residence and assaulted him by punching him and knocking him unconscious. The perpetrator fled with the victim’s wallet, containing cash and a debit card.

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police:

• A theft was reported to have occurred at a Riverside Avenue hotel on May 18. The victim reported that she had checked a Marc Jacobs diaper bag, containing credit cards (etc.) at the front desk of the hotel and upon retrieval it was missing.

• A robbery was reported to have occurred on May 17 at a Shrewsbury Avenue residence. The victim said that she heard a loud bang on the front door. Upon answering the door, the perpetrator grabbed her, punched her in the face, stole her iPhone and then fled the area.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred on May 16 on East Newman Springs Road. The victim reported that an unknown person keyed the side of a parked vehicle with a sharp object.

• A theft was reported to have occurred at a Monmouth Street parking lot on May 15. The victim reported that someone cut the lock on a bicycle which was secured to a pole and stole it. The bicycle is described as a grey Schwinn Mountain Bike.

• A theft was reported to have occurred on May 13 at the Bridge Avenue parking lot. The victim reported that someone entered a parked vehicle and stole a duffle bag containing clothing and prescription pills.

Juvenile, Teen Arrested on Weapons, Aggravated Assault & Terroristic Threat Charges

The following recent arrests were reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Nicole Doherty, 33, of First Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on May 9, by Patrolman Nicholas Haines and charged with simple assault and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Shrewsbury Municipal Court.

She was released after posting $389 bail with a 10 percent option.

• Jesse Kimball, 44, of Belmont Avenue in Madison, was arrested on May 9 by Corporal Richard Raike and charged with simple assault.

He was held on $2,500 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Man Arrested on Warrant for Aggravated Assault; $75K Bail

The following recent arrests made on contempt of court charges were reported by Middletown police.

• Jonathan Rocha, 28, of Arvin Road in Old Bridge, was arrested on April 30 by Patrolman Adam Vendetti on a warrant out of Old Bridge for aggravated assault charges.

He was held on $75,000 bail.

• Harold Johnson, 33, of Sherman Avenue in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on April 24 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia on contempt of court warrants issued by Hazlet, Middletown, Red Bank and Holmdel municipal courts.

He was released after posting $5,269 bail.
