Summer’s here; and, weekend DWI checkpoints are back.
This weekend in Monmouth County there will be two DWI checkpoints set up and conducted by The Monmouth County DWI Task Force and police forces in the corresponding municipalities.
On Friday night …
Starting and 10 p.m. and running through 2 a.m. Saturday, there will be a checkpoint set in Neptune City at the Sunoco gas station. Drivers will be pulled off Route 35 north and into the station. There, local officers and Task Force members will screen them for impairment.
On Saturday night …
Starting at 9 p.m. and continuing through 1 a.m. on Sunday, officers in Allenhurst will divert all northbound traffic onto Elberon Avenue. There, drivers will be screened for impairment.
