Police Report: Theft & Shoplifting

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on March 24. The victim reported that $133 worth of property was stolen.

Patrolman Kyle Ludwig is investigating.

• A theft in the area of Broad Street was reported on March 21. The victim reported that merchandise was stolen.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

• A theft in the area of Broad Street was reported on March 19. The victim reported that $1,189.91 worth of property was stolen.

Patrolman Joseph Barnicle is investigating.

• A theft in the area of Broad Street was reported on March 16. The victim reported that someone stole $81 worth of property.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

Arrests

Kevin L. Williams, 53, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on March 25 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Tyler Fox.

** Police reported three arrests solely on contempt of court warrants.**
