The sun will be shining this weekend, so the National Weather Service says.
So, the timing is right for the outdoor events on the calendar.
Saturday
• The the final Fair Haven Concert at the Dock of the season is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. on none other than The Fair Haven Dock at the foot of Fair Haven Road.
The featured group for the concert is The Lakewood Keys Jazz Band
“In the case inclement weather, an e-blast will be sent out an hour prior to the show,” Councilwoman Susan Sorensen said.
• Red Bank StreetLife, featuring musical acts and entertainment, will take place in the borough’s business district from 6 to 9 p.m. It’s free. People are invited to shop, stroll and/or dine and take in the sights and sounds.
• Rumson’s St. George’s-by-the-River Episcopal Church is hosting its beach service at 5 p.m. at the Ancorage beach in Sea Bright. All are welcome. Look for the flying Episcopal flag and bring chairs, towels or whatever you need to sit on.
• The Rumson P.B.A. Crab Tournament is being held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the borough’s boat ramp in back of borough hall and the police station. To enter, get a boat for $65. And, there are t-shirts and sweatshirts for sale. See ya there, crabby! OK, couldn’t resist a little Little Rascals humor.
Sunday
• The Red Bank Farmers Market is on in the Galleria parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a host of organic produce, coffees, desserts, crafts and prepared gourmet foods.
• There are tours from 1 to 4 p.m. of the Historic Seabrook-Wilson House, otherwise known as the spooky Spy House where spirits were rumored to roam. The 18th century house is on the waterfront in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown at Bayshore Waterfront Park.
