Prosecutor: Area Man Indicted on Manslaughter & Related Drug Charges in Connection with 2021 Fatal Overdose

A Monmouth County grand jury has returned a 37-count indictment against a man charged with being responsible for a fatal overdose in 2021, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago and Belmar Police Chief Tina Scott announced in a joint statement on Friday.

DWI Checkpoints Set for Weekend

It’s summertime in post-pandemic times and DWI checkpoints are operating every weekend in Monmouth County. This weekend, there are two set to run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. on Sunday. The first, and closest to the Rumson-Fair Haven area, is set to start late tonight in Shrewsbury. The second will be set on Saturday in Wall Township.

Prosecutor: Man Charged with Aggravated Assault in DWI-Related March Accident

An Ocean County man has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault in connection with an allegedly alcohol-fueled March accident that left a woman and her son injured in Wall Township, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S.
