Prosecutor: Triple Shooting Leaves One Dead; Investigation Ensues

A Monday night shooting that left one person dead and two others injured in Asbury Park is under investigation, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Tuesday.

Just after 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 3, Asbury Park police were dispatched to the Asbury Park Gardens apartment complex on Atlantic Avenue on a report of a shooting. There, officers found the three victims, all adult males who had sustained injuries.

All three were rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment. Two were found to have sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, while the third was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the hospital.

The identity of the deceased is being temporarily withheld pending notification of family.
