It’s not every day that you can spy more than a coven’s worth of witches paddling down the river — just Saturday.
The weather ended up holding out for a fine Halloween spirited witchy paddle and row on the Navesink, brewed by Rachel Goddard and cohort Cassie Conley. The two were looking to stir up some casual fun and donations to Lunch Break. No tricks. It was a Halloween treat of a different kind.
People donning full witch (and warlock) regalia embarked on the trippy little waterborne haunting at the foot of DeNormandie Avenue in Fair Haven, or wherever along the way they wanted to join in.
And, judging by some fiendish friends’ snapshots, a witchy cackling time of a paddle was had by all who got out there to stir the river cauldron.
Take a look at some shots provided by Fair Havenite Liza Sharkey Doonan. Got paddle pics? Send them on over and we’ll add them. Best outfit? Hmmmm … Tell us about the sights you saw.
