RFH Soccer Star Margot Ridgeway; an All-American Squad Pick

Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) senior Margot Ridgeway has joined the ranks as one of the nation’s elite high school soccer players.

She is one of just 40 players from across the U.S. chosen to participate in the Fifth Annual Girls High School All-American Game. Margot is on the roster for the East All-American Team, which will face the West All-American Team on Dec. 2 in Orlando, FL.

“Margot has been instrumental in the success of our program in the past four years,” RFH Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Mary Beth Coleman said. “Her passion and work ethic is contagious and she leads by example, not only on the playing field, but in the classroom as well. I know she will have great success playing in the All-American Game and at the next level at the University of California-Davis.”

The players selected for the All-American Game are seniors who have achieved many regional and national awards, and who plan to attend top universities across the country.
As a four-year Varsity Player at RFH, Margot has made significant achievements:

  • Three goals and two assists during her freshman year;
  • 11 goals and 10 assists during her sophomore year, as well as All-Division Team and second;
  • Team All-Shore honors;
  • 19 goals and 12 assists during her junior year, and All-Division Team, 2nd Team All-Shore, and 1st Team Group 2 honors.

In the current season, her last at RFH, Margot has racked up 13 goals and five assists thus far. A tri-aptain of the RFH Varsity Squad, Margot plans to attend the University of California-Davis next year to play soccer.
