Batter up! With the advent of baseball season and the rebirth of all things in spring, it’s only fitting that there’s a reprise of a look back at the RFH boys of baseball in the dugout.
The view from another vantage point is classic.
It’s a closer look at the guys suited up, at bat and on the bench another ode to RFH baseball. The boys are looking quite pensive in this photo. There are a few familiar faces — one sadly no longer with us, some still around the towns.
The one who passed away, but, until then, spent most of his life in Fair Haven is Jeff Lang (back row, left), affectionately referred to by his cohorts at RFH as Bang Bang Lang.
Known as an easy going, good-natured, compassionate friend, volunteer and neighbor, Jeff Lang is sorely missed. In addition to being an RFH Class of 1978 alumni, he was also a longtime member of the Fair Haven Fire Department, serving as captain of its First Aid Squad in 1997.
Recognize anyone else? There are a couple pictured who many still see around the towns.
Thanks, once again, to George Day for capturing yet another classic moment at RFH!
