The former head of the Rumson-Fair Haven (RFH) Touchdown Club has been charged with pilfering more than $25,000 from the non-profit organization, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced on Thursday.
Sean Greeley, 57, of Rumson, is charged with one count of third-degree theft. He is facing up to five years in a New Jersey state prison.
Greeley was charged on Jan. 30 with stealing from the organization between April of 2017 and July of 2018. The charges followed an investigation that began in August of 2018.
The investigation determined that Greeley stole more than $25,000 from the 501(C)3 organization for his personal use. As president, Greeley had control of all of the club’s accounts. The theft included unauthorized debit card transactions from the club’s bank account.
The case has been assigned to Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Barbara Suppa.
