Prosecutor: Authorities Seek Witnesses to Fatal 2022 Shooting

Law enforcement officials are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed a fatal July 2022 shooting, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said.

Asbury Park police on Thursday, July 28, 2022 just before 7:30 p.m. responded to a report of gunfire originating from the area of the 1600 block of Sewall Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found 33-year-old Kyshon Washington-Walker, of Shrewsbury, who had sustained multiple gunshot injuries.

Washington-Walker was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Bureau and the Asbury Park Police Department are still investigating the shooting.
