Prosecutor: Authorities Seek Witnesses in Red Bank Double Shooting Investigation

An investigation into the circumstances behind a Red Bank double shooting that left one dead and another injured last week is ongoing, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Monday. Authorities are seeking witnesses.

At 3:13 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, Red Bank police responded to the 100 block of River Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims, both male, suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim identified as Mikal Muhammad, 36, of Red Bank, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other male was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, treated, and released.

The investigation involving members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and Red Bank Police Department remains ongoing.
