Authorities are asking that anyone with information regarding who may have been responsible for the 2016 shooting death of a Bradley Beach man to come forward, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Wednesday.

On Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at 8:18 p.m., Neptune Township police responded to 1306 7th Avenue, Neptune Township on a report of a shooting. Officers found Andre Thorne, 19, of Bradley Beach, in the driver’s seat of a 2002 red Dodge Neon suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Thorne was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead, less than a month shy of his 20th birthday. It was later discovered that Thorne had been sitting in the car with two others at the time of the shooting.
A joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Neptune Township Police Department is still active.
