A 25-year-old area man has been indicted on charges stemming from the May murder of his girlfriend in an apartment complex parking lot, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Tuesday.

Alex J. Williams, of Wall, was indicted on: one count of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (machete) and one count of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
