The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of theft on June 27 in the area of Meridian Way. The victim reported that an unknown person (people) stole $80 worth of property.

• There was a report of theft in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on June 26. The victim reported that a known person stole property.

• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Broad Street on June 25. The victim reported that someone made $245.23 worth of fraudulent returns.

Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on June 18. The victim reported that an unknown person or people stole merchandise.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area on June 16 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue. The victim reported that $60.96 worth or merchandise was stolen.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting on June 5 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue. The victim reported that $73 worth of merchandise was stolen.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Broad Street on June 5. The victim reported that known subject(s) failed to make $2,300 worth of bank deposits.

Arrests

• John B. Tanchak, 22, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Sycamore Avenue on June 25 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Kyle Ludwig.

• Dominic C. Semliatschenko, 41, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Trafford Street on June 22 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Theodore B. Knowles, 32, of Shrewsbury Township, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on June 19 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Alexis L. Mason, 38, of Highlands, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on June 18 and charged with shoplifting and contempt of court by Patrolman Tyler Fox.

• Donald A. Reid, 51, of Asbury Park, was arrested in the are of Shrewsbury Avenue on June 18 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Rosanna S. Mazzeo, 20, of Rumson, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on June 14 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Ralph Latham.

• Glenn N. Chiarolli, 43, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on June 14 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Pamela R. Lewis, 57, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on June 11 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Carissa L. Bossert, 30, of Middletown, was arrested in the area of Sycamore Avenue on June 8 and charged with hindering apprehension by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
