The following February criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• The theft of a gray Eastern Mountain Sports book bag containing black 15-inch Galaxy tablet valued at $450, four phone and tablet chargers valued at $100, one Marlin Spike Handle knife valued at $69 and one Swiss Army knife valued at $20 from the area of Broad Street was reported on Feb. 21.

• The shoplifting theft of $188 worth of groceries from a Broad Street business was reported on Feb. 21.

• The theft of a catalytic converter, valued at $1,500, from a vehicle in the area of Morford Place was reported on Feb. 16.

• The theft of $113 worth of groceries from a Broad Street business was reported on Feb. 16.
Patrolman Piero Vescio took the report.
• The theft of a catalytic converter, with no value assessed, from a vehicle on Morford Place was reported on Feb. 15.
Patrolman Froilan Hernandez took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Maple Avenue was reported on Feb. 14. The owner of a vehicle reported key scratches along the entire driver’s side of the vehicle. No value was assessed for damages.

• The theft of $1,777 worth of cosmetics from a Water Street business was reported on Feb. 10.
Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe took the report.
• The theft of three bottles of body wash, valued at $50 to $60, from a Water Street business was reported on Feb. 8.
Patrolman Christian Nelson took the report.
• The theft of a backpack containing $120 in cash, a paycheck, a Bank of America card, a Children’s Place credit card, a driver’s license and other forms of identification from a vehicle in the area of Maple Avenue was reported on Feb. 3.

Arrests
• Shane Vanglahn, 26, of Keansburg, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on Feb. 23 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Christian Nelson.
• Karl Charles, 22, of Laurelton, NY, was arrested in the area of Maple Avenue on Feb. 13 and charged with wrongful impersonation and credit card theft by Patrolman Shane Dengel.
• Bailey Lukac, 25, of Hazlet, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Feb. 21 and charged with hindering apprehension by SLEO II Christian Fuentes.
• Bryan Torres, 22, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested in the area of Maple Avenue on Feb. 13 and charged with credit card theft and possession of prescription legend drugs by Patrolman Tanner Shea.
• Alexis Berhang, 44, of East Brunswick, was arrested in the area of Riverside Avenue on Feb. 10 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and contempt of court by Patrolman Froilan Hernandez.
• Alexis Smutko, 56, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of West Front Street on Feb. 10 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.
• Bryan Weaver, 36, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on Feb. 8 and charged with terroristic threats by Patrolman Andrew Todd.
• Joseph Delucia, 39, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on Feb. 5 and charged with defiant trespass by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.
• Jose Ortega-Plata, 34, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on Feb. 2 and charged with hindering apprehension and contempt of court by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.
