Police Report: Theft, Drugs, Evidence Tampering, Fraud, Child Endangerment, Defiant Trespass, Harassment

The following February criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• The theft of a wallet, containing roughly $1,000 in cash and personal documents, from a motor vehicle in the area of McLaren Street was reported on Feb. 22.

• An incident of criminal mischief — graffiti — in the area of Broad Street was reported on Feb. 16. The wall of a building was tagged with black paint.

Patrolman Tanner Shea took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Monmouth Street was reported on Feb. 11. The owner of a business reported that the front windows were drawn on with permanent marker. The repair cost for the damage was valued at $100.

Patrolman Christopher Fuentes took the report.

• The theft of a black sweater, valued at $250, from a business in the area of W. Front Street was reported on Feb. 10.

Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe took the report.

• The theft of a gift bag containing a Coach wallet, valued at $200, a Coach scarf, valued at $70 and a $100 Nordstrom gift card from the area of Riverside Avenue was reported on Feb. 8.

Patrolman Andrew Todd took the report.

• The theft of a package of 500 mg passion fruit Ganna Gummies, valued at $50, and a package of 600 mg gummies, also valued at $50, from a business on Monmouth Street was reported on Feb. 5.

Patrolman Preston Mellaci took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of S. Pearl Street was reported on Feb. 5. The owner of a motor vehicle reported that two vehicles had broken windows. The repair cost was estimated to be $2,000.

Patrolman Christian Nelson took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of English Plaza was reported on Feb. 3. The owner of a vehicle reported that the windshield, valued at $500, was broken.

• The theft of the contents of a delivered package was reported stolen from the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Feb. 3. The package was reported tampered with and the silver Apple watch it contained, valued at $286, was stolen.

• The theft of two bicycles, one a dark blue 50 Cal Flyer, valued at $330, and another a light blue Big Flyer, valued at $500, from the front of a residence was reported on Feb. 3.

Arrests

• Anthony Sabatino, 29, of Mystic Island, was arrested in the area of Cooper’s Bridge on Feb. 28 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of prescription legend drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.

• Tawana Sanford, 49, of East Orange, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on Feb. 27 and charged with theftconspiracy to commit theftfraudulent use of a credit card, and credit card theft by Detective Shane Dengel.

• Shamecca Whitfield, 39, of Shrewsbury, was arrested in the area of Spring Street on Feb. 26 and charged with theft by Patrolman Froilan Hernandez.

• Tim Jackson, 32, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Feb. 26 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court by Patrolman Frank Metta.

• Juliana Rodre, 36, of Brick, was arrested in the area of N. Bridge Avenue on Feb. 25 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of drug paraphernaliaobstructing administration of law, and tampering with evidence by Patrolman Frank Metta.

• Gregg Pelletier, 55, of Asbury Park, was arrested in the area of Maple Avenue on Feb. 24 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Luke Cahill.

• Oscar Torres-Vera, 28, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Feb. 22 and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest by Sgt. John Camarca.

• Nahmir Jones, 22, of Oceanport, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Feb. 20 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.

• Rezwan Ahmed, 32, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on Feb. 20 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Grace Maggiulli.

• Jason Freeman, 46, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of N. Bridge Avenue on Feb. 16 and charged with defiant trespass by Patrolman Christian Nelson.

• Dawn Saltalamacchia, 51, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Harding Road on Feb. 14 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and hindering apprehension by Sgt. Sean Hauschildt.

• Tejada Williams, 57, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on Feb. 14 and charged with endangering the welfare of a childpossession of a weapon for unlawful purposeunlawful possession of weaponshindering apprehension, and simple assault by Sgt. Sean Hauschildt.

• Mark Henderson, 44, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on Feb. 14 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.

• Santo Cavallo, 52, of Manalapan, was arrested in the area of Riverside Avenue on Feb. 13 and charged with harassment and contempt by Patrolman Carmine Pannullo.

• Dylan Marcelo, 28, of Wayne, was arrested in the area of River Road on Feb. 9 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Stanely Balmer.

• Robert Ellis, 36, of Belford, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on Feb. 4 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI), possession of prescription legend drugsunder the influence of CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Grace Maggiulli.

• Tawana Sanford, 49, of East Orange, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Feb. 3 and charged with hindering apprehensionfraudulent use of a credit cardreceiving stolen property, and contempt of court by Patrolman Tanner Shea.

• Rashon Martin, 37, of South Amboy, was arrested in the area of Warf Avenue on Feb. 1 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of drug paraphernalia, and contempt of court by Patrolman Taylor Doremus.
