Police Report: Theft, Criminal Mischief, Drug Possession

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Broad Street on July 31. The victim reported that someone made $1,317 worth of unauthorized purchases on a credit card.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Patterson Avenue on Aug. 2. The victim reported that someone vandalized a park and private property.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

Arrests

• Ricky C. Wild, 18, of Red Bank, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in the area of Sickles Place by Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola.

• Matthew J. Borst, 44, of Eatontown, was arrested on Aug. 5 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue by Patrolman Angel Marrero.
