Police Report: Theft & Criminal Mischief

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police:

• A theft in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue was reported on Aug. 26. It was reported that a multi-colored cloth wallet containing two Bank of America cards, one Capitol One card, one Medicare card, a NJ SNAP card, a NJ driver’s license, a Red Bank library card and about $20 in cash was stolen.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Morford Place was reported on Aug. 25. Nails were reportedly placed underneath both passenger side tires and a green substance was allegedly placed under the door handles of a parked car.

• A theft in the area of Monmouth Street was reported on Aug. 22. It was reported that a locked Envy brand, charcoal colored bicycle with the word Dallas engraved on its frame and rainbow colored pegs was stolen from a bicycle rack.

• A theft in the area of North Bridge Avenue was reported on Aug. 22. It was reported that a white male in his late 30s or early 40s with dark hair and a mustache, wearing a baseball cap and a checkered shirt was seen taking a carton of Newport 100s from behind the register of a business.

• A theft in the area of West Bergen Place was reported on Aug. 20. It was reported that a blue K-2 bicycle that was locked to a bike rack was stolen, leaving only the locked wheel.

Patrolman Ashon Lovick took the report.

• A theft in the area of West Bergen Place was reported on Aug. 17. It was reported that a parked vehicle with slightly open windows was broken into and a black wallet containing $7 in cash, bank cards, a driver’s license, insurance card were stolen along with $100 in cash from the console and a pack of Newport cigarettes.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue was reported on Aug. 2. A traffic cone was reportedly thrown into a window causing it to break.
