Police Report: Harassment, Robbery, Fraud, DWI

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of harassment made by a male at police headquarters on Feb. 25. The victim alleged that he was being harassed through social media by a past client.

Patrolman Ralph Latham investigated.

• A report of credit card fraud was made by a male in the area of Staples Plaza on Feb. 27. The caller reported that an unauthorized person had attempted to use his credit card at Staples.

Patrolman Joseph Barnicle investigating.

• A robbery was reported by an employee of Spirits Unlimited on Feb. 27. The caller alleged that she was physically assaulted by a man as he attempted to leave the business with merchandise.

Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola investigated.

Arrests

• Christian Nietschke, 21, of Middletown, was arrested on Feb. 25 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) Patrolman Tyler Fox.

• Anatoliy Mitrofanov, 53, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested on Feb. 27 in the area of Spirits Unlimited and charged with robbery by Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola.

• Matthew Sinopoli, 23, of Rumson, was arrested on Feb. 29 in the area of White Road and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Angel Marrero.

Contempt of Court

• Cody Ely, 20, of Pampano Beach, FL, was arrested Feb. 25 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Broad Street by Patrolman Tracy Polk.

• Hannah Henderson, 29, of Long Branch, was arrested on Feb. 28 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Broad Street by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Justin Hahn, 24, of Brick, was arrested on Feb. 27 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
