The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• There was a report of credit card fraud in the area of Campbell Court on Sept. 27. The victim reported that someone unknown to them used their accounts to make fraudulent purchases.
Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.
• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Sept. 21. The victim reported that someone stole $279.84 worth of merchandise.
Patrolman Joseph Barnicle is investigating.
• There was a report of fraud in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Sept. 21. The victim reported that someone used fraudulent accounts to make $503.39 worth of purchases.
Patrolman Kyle Ludwig is investigating.
Arrests
• Anita J. Gearty, 52, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on Sept. 25 in the area of Avenue at the Commons and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Tracy Polk.
• Vivian E. Maxwell, 60, of Matawan, was arrested on Sept. 25 in the area of Broad Street and charged with shoplifting by Sgt. Tracy Polk.
• Naamah H. Mckibben, 29, of Trenton, was arrested on Sept. 22 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Kyle Ludwig.
**Police reported one arrest solely on a contempt of court warrant.**
