The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• There was a report of an attempted theft of prescriptions in the area of Shrewsbury Plaza made by a female on Feb. 15.
Patrolman Tyler Fox investigated.
• There was a report of criminal mischief — a vandalized car — in the area of Shrewsbury Plaza on Feb. 17.
Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola and Detective Sgt. Ramsey are investigating.
Arrests
• William Garcia, Jr., 37, of Long Branch, was arrested on Feb. 16 in the area of Shrewsbury Plaza and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Matthew Clark.
• Alan Hardzewicz, 32, of Keansburg, was arrested on Feb. 23 in the area of Broad Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
• Patricia Izzo, 71, of Red Bank, was arrested on Feb. 20 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Matthew Clark.
• Robert Cubberly, 56, of Howell, was arrested on Feb. 20 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and Newman Springs Road and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Matthew Clark.
Contempt of Court
• Erin Sullivan, 34, of Middletown, was arrested Feb. 15 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Shrewsbury Plaza by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
• Scott Carnie, 56, of Freehold, was arrested on Feb. 18 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
• Taabef Smith, 25, of Neptune, was arrested on Feb. 18 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant at police headquarters by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
• Leo Johnson, 39, of Long Branch, was arrested on Feb. 21 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Broad Street by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
• Barry Ellenwood II, 29, of Newark, was arrested on Feb. 22 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue by Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola.
• Madeleine Loux, 21, of Eatontown, was arrested on Feb. 22 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
• Anthony Bryant, 24, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on Feb. 24 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant at police headquarters by Sgt. Tracy Polk.
