The following recent arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
• Michael J. Couvrette, 51, of Long Branch, was arrested on June 16 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
• Douglas A. Aleman, 32, of Charlotte, NC, was arrested on June 15 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with hindering apprehension by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
• Thomas L. Armstrong, 35, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 10 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.
• Alicia M. Testa, 31, of Ocean Grove, was arrested on June 9 in the area of Broad Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Angel Marrero.
• Virginia A. Stroby, 29, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 3 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.
Contempt of Court
• Melissa A. Murphy, 28, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 16 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Patrolman Angel Marrero.
• Courtney L. Pipitone, 26, of Eatontown, was arrested on June 15 on a contempt of court (COC) in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
• Keith L. Boynton, 31, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on June 14 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
• Tyrone D. Whitley, 37, of Asbury Park, was arrested on June 9 on a contempt of court warrant (COC) in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
• Keith Simmonds Jr., 29, of Leonardo, was arrested on June 8 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Angel Marrero.
• Asa G. Robinson, 24, of South Orange, was arrested on June 5 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
