The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Broad Street on Aug. 20. The victim reported paying for $50,000 worth services never rendered.
Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.
• There was a report of theft in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Aug. 24. The victim reported that someone made $24,650 worth of purchases with fraudulent credit cards.
Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.
• There was a report of a burglary in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on aug. 25. The victim reported that someone used force to gain entry to a building and steal $162,645 worth of property.

Arrests
• Hector Gomez-Arroyo, 43, of Trenton, was arrested in the area of Sycamore Avenue on Aug. 27 and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by Patrolman Angel Marrero.
