The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• There was a report of theft in the area of Avenue at the Commons on Sept. 27. The victim reported that $17,000 worth of property was stolen.
Sgt. Matthew Clark is investigating.
• Report of a theft in the area of Samara Drive on Sept. 26. The victim reported that $99 worth of property was stolen.
Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola is investigating.
• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Sept. 21. The victim reported $344 worth of merchandise was stolen.
Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.
Arrests
• Freddy X. Rojas, 29, of Asbury Park, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Sept. 30 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
