The following April criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• The theft of a bench, valued at $1,000, from a W. Sunset Avenue business was reported.
Patrolman Michael Zadlock took the report.
• The theft of two black cases, with contents valued at $1,500, from a vehicle in the area of W. Front Street was reported on April 23.
Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe took the report.
• The theft of roughly 25 prescription pills from a Riverside Avenue residence was reported on April 22.
Patrolman Taylor Doremus took the report.
• The theft from a Shrewsbury Avenue residence of: $5,000 in cash, a gold chain necklace with a Star of David pendant, valued at $900; a gold chain necklace with a gold baseball bat pendant, valued at $1,000; a gold chain necklace, valued at $2,000; three gold rings, valued at $800 each; one gold ring with diamonds, valued at $900; and four gold earrings, valued at $300 each, was reported on April 21.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Branch Avenue was reported on April 20. The owner of a property reported a retaining wall had been tagged with black marker.

• The theft of a black iPhone 13 Pro Max, valued at $1,100, from the area of Maple Avenue was reported on April 18.
Patrolman Froilan Hernandez took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Broad Street was reported on April 18. An employee of a business reported that an unknown sticky substance was placed in the interior of two mailboxes.
Patrolman Taylor Doremus took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Mohawk Lane was reported on April 17. An officer on patrol observed graffiti on multiple structures within Count Basie Park.
Sgt. Matthew Ehrenreich made the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of W. Front Street was reported on April 13. Patrols reported damage to two benches: one broken in the seat area, and another marked with purple spray paint.

• A patrol unit observed criminal mischief — graffiti in multiple areas of Marine Park — on April 14.
Patrolman Andrew Todd took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of W. Front Street was reported on April 13. The property manager of a building reported lettering in black spray paint on a wall of the building.
Sgt. George Travostino took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of W. Bergen Place was reported on April 11. Patrols observed multiple places in the area that had been tagged with spray paint.
Patrolman Preston Mellaci took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of W. Front Street was reported on April 11. The owner of a business reported graffiti, lettering spray painted, on the wall of the business.
Patrolman Kristin Altimari took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Bridge Avenue was reported on April 9. Patrols observed graffiti, lettering in black spray paint, and lettering in black and red marker on a mailbox.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue was reported on April 9. Patrols observed that the wall of a business was tagged with blue spray paint.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Chestnut Street was reported on April 9. An employee reported black spray paint on a structure.

• The theft/shoplifting of $106 worth of merchandise from a Broad Street store was reported on April 6.
Patrolman Kristen Altimari took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief in Marine Park was reported on April 6. An area business employee reported blue spray paint lettering on a building in the park.

• The theft of $800 in cash from a vehicle in the area of Newman Springs Road was reported on April 3.

Arrests
• Joseph Fredericks, 36, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on April 28 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court by Patrolman Frank Metta.
• Kevin Castillo-Lima, 20, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of W. Bergen Place on April 25 and charged with unlawful obsession of a handgun, possession of penetrating bullets and contempt of court by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.
• Sherwood Spitz, 78, of South Orange, was arrested in the area of Riverview Plaza on April 23 and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Froilan Hernandez.
• Darrell Yarbrough, 57, of Asbury Park, was arrested in the area of Herbert Street on April 21 and charged with failure to register as a sex offender by Patrolman Taylor Doremus.
• Anthony Costa, 63, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on April 20 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Frank Metta.
• Ariel Ross, 25, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Mount Street on April 18 and charged with criminal mischief by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.
• Kadean Lane, 30, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Montgomery Terrace on April 18 and charged with obstructing the administration of law by Patrolman Piero Vescio.
• Kathryn Rojas-Strauss, 27, of Lakewood, was arrested in the area of Montgomery Terrace on April 18 and charged with obstructing administration of the law by Patrolman Piero Vescio.
• Luis Crespo, 30, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on April 18 and charged with unlawful possession of weapons and criminal mischief by Patrolman Grace Maggiulli.
• Pedro Garcia-Mancia, 23, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Riverside Avenue on April 15 and charged with obstructing administration of the law and hindering apprehension by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.
• Matthew Stickler, 44, of Little Silver, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on April 15 and charged with criminal mischief by Patrolman Christian Nelson.
• Arlene Perez, 31, of Maspeth, NY was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on April 15 and charge with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Frank Metta.
• Elson Casiano, 32, of Plainfield, was arrested in the area of Locust Avenue on April 15 and charged with hindering apprehension, obstructing administration of the law and contempt of court by Patrolman Christian Nelson.
• Eric Swerdlin, 66, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of W. Bergen Place on April 14 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Matthew Ehrenreich.
• Mauricio Rodriguez-Perez, 33, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of S. Bridge Avenue on April 14 and charged with contempt, sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child by Sgt. James Deponte.
• Matthew Toto, 27, of Englishtown, was arrested in the area of W. Front Street on April 9 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Grace Maggiulli.
• Teresa Dimattina, 63, of Leonardo, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on April 7 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.
• James Higgins, 39, of Whiting, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on April 6 and charged with obstructing administration of the law and disorderly conduct by Patrolman Luke Cahill.
• Shanna Santori, 32, of Peekskill, NY was arrested in the area of Boat Club Court on April 4 and charged with robbery, theft, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of weapons, and aggravated assault by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.
• Scott Schweers, 48, of Little Silver, was arrested in the area of Mechanic Street on April 3 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Taylor Doremus.
