In Memoriam: Red Bank-Raised RBR Grad, Frank Mancino, 88

Red Bank-raised Frank Mancino died on July 24 after a long illness. He was 88.

Born in Holmdel, Frank grew up in Red Bank and graduated from Red Bank High School. 

“Frank served in the U.S. Navy and retired with the highest rank you could get as an enlisted sailor at the age of 39. After 15 years of living the good life of retirement (at his ripe young age) boating along the NJ coastal waterways, Frank decided to go back to work for the U.S. Post Office. Finally, at the age of 70, Frank retired from the U.S. Post Office.”

Frank was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Mancino Sr. and Lucia (DiMeo) Mancino Buonano; his partner of 30+ years, Judy Tenzer Benn; sister-in-law, JeanAnn (Kaeli) Mancino; brother-in-law, Raymond Lamberson; sister, Mary (Mancino) Lamberson; and brother, Vincent J. Mancino.

Surviving are: his brother and best friend, Salvatore Mancino II and Lifetime Partner, Diane MacPhee, of Rumson; and many nephews and nieces “who have unequivocally agreed that Frank is the best uncle ever.”

A funeral home service was held on Tuesday, July., 30, at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 180 Turning Lives Around https://180nj.org/.
