The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be teaming up with Eatontown police Friday night through early Saturday morning to conduct a DWI checkpoint in Eatontown, DWI Task Force Coordinator and Allenhurst Police Chief Michael Schneider announced.
At the checkpoint, to be set from 9 p.m. on Friday through 1 a.m. on Saturday at the Motor Vehicle Commission parking lot on Route 35, members of the Task Force and Eatontown police will pull vehicles into the lot from the westbound lanes of the highway. There they will determine whether or not drivers are operating their vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
