Finally. The spring thermometer has amped up to where it should be.

What better way to celebrate the long-awaited arrival of the seasonal temperature than take a look back to a warm RFH spring day.

Today’s Retro Pic of the (George) Day celebrates the season by going back to the 1970s and a lunch hour outside at what looks like it may be a Rumson school — Forrestdale?

Or, perhaps it’s a field trip. One thing for sure is that the featured fella is a young John Brinkerhoff, clad in those classic plaid shorts and alligator shirt, plastic baggin’ his lunch, it seems.

Fair Haven: Names in Borough Business

There’s been some change in names and faces in and around Fair Haven Borough Hall.

The biggest change comes from the office of the tax collector.

With the recent announcement of 38-year tax collector Dale Connor’s retirement, effective May 1, came the appointment of the borough’s new tax collector, Denise Jawidzik.
