The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• There was a report of the theft of $,1,000 worth of property in the area of Sycamore Avenue on Feb. 6.
Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.
• There was a report identity theft the area of Brady Road on Feb. 5. The victim reported that someone obtained account information fraudulently to make purchases totaling $2,500.
Patrolman Kyle Ludwig is investigating.
• There was a report of theft in the area of Corn Lane on Feb. 1. The victim reported that $9,945 worth of property was stolen.
Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.
Arrests
• Darnell C. Dechalus-Turpin, 25, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Feb. 8 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
** Police reported one arrest solely on a contempt of court warrant.**
