Spring is in the air — sort of — and it’s just about batter up time at RFH.

So, on the cusp of spring, our Retro Pic of the (George) Day also commemorates the coming of the baseball season — the warm-up, the game and all.

Here’s a shot from the 1970s of some RFHers playing ball. The batter up? Recognize him? How about those teammates on the sideline?

Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge Travel Alert

With the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement getting closer to completion, the work schedule remains status quo, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. though Friday, weather permitting. Though, there are some new roadwork alerts for the area surrounding the bridge.

A reprise from March 14 of last year, just because … it’s a classic scene that must be revisited …

In the Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade’s aftermath, we’re looking back at the luck of the Irish and not-so-Irish at RFH and another parade — the big one. We are remembering a time when the RFH Marching Band, Twirlers and Drill Team not only marched in area St. Patrick’s Day parades, but made it to the big one in New York City. Call it an Irish step dance of sorts — the marching and entertaining sorts.
