In Memoriam: Red Bank Native, Citarella’s Market Owner, Maria Citarella, 84

Red Bank native and Citarella’s Market owner Maria DiFiore Citarella passed away on Feb. 28 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by family, after an “extraordinary four-year battle with lung cancer.” She was 84.

Remembering Longtime Fair Havenite, Jeweler Horner Williams, 88

A gem is what longtime Fair Havenite and area jeweler Horner S. Williams was to the many whose lives he touched, whether it be with the creation of a piece of fine jewelry or his refined gentlemanly presence. With the first announcement of his passing on Dec. 31 at 88 through now, messages of condolence and appreciation have flooded social media saying so, in so many words.

Remembering Rob Bruce; Fair Haven-Raised RFH ’77 Grad, Pop Culture Icon Found Dead

The year 2021 ended with the sudden death of Fair-Haven raised Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Class of ’77 graduate Robert “Rob” Bruce, a more recent decades-long Red Bank resident known as the area’s pop culture icon.

In Memoriam: ‘Red Bank Charlie’, Face of HobbyMasters, Charles Horowitz

Longtime Red Bank resident, known as Red Bank Charlie and the face of HobbyMasters, Charles Horowitz, passed away peacefully on Sept. 12 “after a short and well-fought battle with cancer.”

Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1942, Charlie lived in New York until he moved to Red Bank, NJ in 1978.

Prosecutor: Three Indicted on Criminal Sexual Contact Against a Minor Charges

Three area men have been indicted on 10 counts of criminal sexual contact against a minor at an unnamed Red Bank eatery where they all had previously worked together, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced.
