You could call these sunny fall days the dog days of river time. Really.
It’s something to howl about when that sun drenches the lazy, lapping water’s edge of the Navesink in Rumson. Call it doggone great. When you spot a local pup taking a dip at Victory Park’s water’s edge, reveling in sunny river rapture, it’s a reminder that all always good down by the river. Of course it is. Always was. Always will be. Those who call it home know the feeling — for generations. Those who don’t catch it like airborne viral joy.
