Reunited and it feels so good. Sure does.
It also feels like it was only a few years ago that RFH classmates of a long-gone era graduated. OK, so the Peaches and Herb song Reunited was a ’78 song and we’re talking about the RFH Class of 1981. Close enough.
And the sentiment is definitely the same with a bit of a twist on the love angle. It does feel mighty good to reunite with classmates and still feel the same vibe, like graduation was yesterday and the walk was a very easy one — 45 years later.
Yes, the RFH Class of ’81 walked their own new walk on Saturday night following their alma mater’s graduation on Friday. And when the photo evidence of their night of reuniting at a classmate’s Rumson home hit the internet — no ’80s Instamatic camera roll development needed — this RFH ’78 dinosaur had to do the math repeatedly for it to sink in that these “young kids” of ’81 had already hit that 45-year reunion marker.
Wait. They were freshmen when we were seniors. Could it be that three years seemed sooooo much younger then? Why, yes it could.
So, cheers to the kids of the RFH Class of ’81! We’re right here to guide you to the 50th! Wait. What??
Take a look at the photos provided by RFH Class of ’81 member Sue Leslie and others for a little glimpse into the casual, small gathering of RFHers …
