Scene Around: New Rumson Officers on the Police Beat

There are four new patrolmen on the police beat in Rumson. Two are new to the department and two rose up in its ranks.

The two new patrol officers sworn in to the Rumson Police Department at the June 3 Borough Council meeting were Hannah Certo and Kevin Walsh, a social media post from the department said.

Certo was previously employed as Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II in Point Pleasant Beach. Before Rumson, Walsh was a full-time officer at Rutgers University, it said.

Promoted within the department were: Logan Keefer and Joseph Pignataro. Both were sworn in as patrolmen. Both began as dispatchers in the department and rose up in the ranks to Class I and Class II officers and now full-time patrolmen, the post added.

The four new patrolmen fill vacancies left by retirees.

Congratulations!
